On Friday 20 April Osaka City University (OCU) welcomed its new international students with a party in the theater of Tanaka Memorial Hall.

After welcome speeches by Vice-President of International Exchange Miyano, Dr. Minami (Chairman of the OCU Associates International Exchange Committee) and Ms. Xue Peng (Chairman of the OCU Exchange Students Association), students of the Dance Sports Club gave an amazing dance show. They demonstrated that some club activities, certainly the OCU Dance Sports Club, reach a near professional level, as you can perhaps glimpse from the photograph below.

The party then went on with a buffet in the next door exhibition hall, started off with a toast by Professor Nakagawa (Director of the Global Exchange Office). During the buffet the international students could freely chat and party with each other and their Japanese fellow students. In total 121 students attended the party.

We hope all new students have started to feel at home and look forward to them joining the other international activities later this year.
