The AY 2018 Osaka City University (OCU) Graduation/Degree Conferment Ceremony was held at Osaka Municipal Central Gymnasium on Monday, 25 March, 2019.

This year 1,449 students graduated from undergraduate programs with bachelor’s degrees, 458 completed graduate courses with master’s degrees, 56 received doctoral degrees, 10 received Juris Doctor degree and 27 completed minors.

An honorary doctorate was conferred on Professor Emeritus Francis K. L. Chan (Faculty of Medicine) this time.

Diploma was handed out to a representative of each Faculty and Graduate School by the President. Subsequently after the student awards ceremony, a farewell speech was given to the graduates by the President.

Congratulatory remarks by the OCU Alumni Association Chairman Takao Kodama were followed by?a joint performance of the OCU Chorus ‘Friede’, Mixed Chorus and Glee Club and the ceremony was successfully over.
